Design Team Monday Challenge

This weeks challenge is a card sketch challenge following the sample below.

For my 6x6 card I used a "Bear in Butterfly" pattern file. The patterned paper is from an old DCWV paper stack. I have a lot of scraps in a container and when I make cards I try my best to use them before cutting up a new sheet of paper.

Don't forget to stop by the DT blog and check out the rest of the teams projects and leave a comment on the blog for a chance to win a free pattern set. Also, participate in the challenge for another chance to win $25.00 in free patterns.

Bunny Silhouette Shaped Card

I have a very simple and easy card. I just took the chocolate bunny from the "Easter Tweets Collection" and created two different sized shadow layers. The largest of the shadow layers was doubled and welded together to create the card base. The smaller of the shadow layers or also a blackout layer is in blue. I added a bow and lil champagne pearl flourish.

Design Team Monday Challenge

Welcome back to another DT challenge. This weeks challenge is a sketch layout using the sample below.

I found a single sheet of  "Perfectly Posh- I enjoy being a girl" by Imaginisce
from a previous project and decided to use it. The colors on this paper are so bright and pretty.

The LSHD files I used were "Ooh La La Collection" and "Perfume and Makeup Collection".  The title I cut using "French Script" font from Make-the-cut.

Thanks for stoppng by and don't forget to stop by the DT blog and check out the rest of the team's projects and for a chance to win free patterns by entering in the challenge!

My Lucky Charm

I wanted to share with you a scrapbook page border I made for the first time. My inspiration came from the lovely page borders made by members of the LSHD design team. With St. Patrick's Day around the corner I wanted to something to fit the occasion.

I made the shamrock border by welding together shamrocks in Make-the-Cut. Files used for this project: My lucky Charm, Lucky boy.

Design Team Monday

Good Morning and Happy Monday!

This week's challenge at LSHD is "Spring Theme". Make any project reflecting spring. So for my project I made a couple of scalloped tags using the "Spring Fairies" file and the "Tags, tags, and more tags".  This was a very quick and simple project. It took me longer to figure out what I was gonna make than actually making it. These tags can either be added to a scrapbook page or used alone as gift tags!

Don't forget to stop by the LSHD DT blog and check out the rest of the Design Team's projects and leave a comment on the blog for a chance to win a free pattern set. Also participate in the challenge by linking either on the DT blog or on the Facebook fan page! Good luck!

Humpty Dumpty 2 page layout

What's your favorite Nursery Rhyme? Well mine is "Hey Diddle Diddle"! You can see the layout I did a few week's ago here. I had soo much fun creating that layout  that I decided to do another one using the Humpty Dumpty file found here.

Aside from using solid colored card stock I used "Nursery Rhyme" patterned paper by Debbie Mumm. I got it from Joann's a few years ago, but I think they still carry it.

When preparing the files for cutting I decided to go a little bit larger than normal. The assembled pieces measure approx. 51/2 inch. to 6 inch. in height. As always all the pieces were inked using TH distress inks.
