Birthday Boy Frame

This cute little frame I made for my co-worker to put her grandson's 1st birthday picture in. I purchased the $1 frames at Michael's Arts and crafts. I love these frames. They are perfect for altering!  First I painted the frame with FolkArt acrylic paint in Country Twill. The patterned paper is from the DCWV "Linen Closet" stack. Then I inked the egdes of the frame with TH Vintage photo ink. I used the Birthday Baby Boy file from Treasure Box Designs. Instead of adding both boys in the file I only used the one sitting down. He also is holding a candle so I omitted it and used the number 1 from my fonts instead. Everything is accented with a white gel pen. This file was perfect for the occasion.

For my project I made an Easel Drawer Box card. This was my first time making this cute project. I followed a tutorial I found for the Drawer box here and just added an Easel card to the top!

The beautiful little dancer girl on the card is Chasse Candace from the file "So you can Dance girls" found here! She is so adorable! I added some ribbon to her "tutu" to give it a realistic effect. Her hair bun has tiny bling and so do her slippers. Behind the lil girl I added a doily so she wouldn't get lost in the patterned paper. The paper I used for the entire card and box is the "Music" stack by DCWV. Both pink and orange flowers were sprayed with some homemade glimmer mist in silver. Unfortunately it doesn't show up good in the pictures. The other flowers are some pearl flowers from my stash. For the sentiment on the front of the card I used a Making Memories Magnetic stamp set I found at Tuesday Morning. The "Twinkle toes" title also comes with the same file. Under the title I used some light pink ribbon. The handle on the drawer is made with gross grain ribbon secured by white brads. This is perfect for the little dancer in your life and the drawer is perfect for those some gifts like jewelry, gift cards and more!
