Embellishment Swap at MSR

Hi everyone! Its been a long time since I posted anything. I have been crafting here and there but somehow neglected my blog.

I hosted a swap over at myscraproom.ning.com and wanted to share my creations with you. This swap was a one on one swap. The requirements were to make 3 handmade flowers, 2 altered chipboard die cuts or card stock die cuts, and 1 chunky charm. The theme of choice was either Halloween or Fall. My swap partner requested Fall.

1. Handmade Satin flowers- I took about 18 inches of satin fabric and did a running stitch along the bottom. Then gathered the material until it formed a spiral and made the flowers.

2. Card stock die cuts using my Make the cut software and Little Scraps of Heaven Designs found here.

3. For the charm I used the antique copper findings to make the chain that all my beads are hanging from. I used random beads from my stash. I did however find some silver charms (acorn, 2 leaves) at Michael's on clearance before I did my swap so that worked out good. But the charms were silver and didn't match the rest of my items. So I took my trusty alcohol inks and that fixed that!

Well that's it for this post. If you haven't already please check out MSR for fun monthly swaps hosted by many talented ladies!
