6x6 Birthday Card

Happy Friday! I have a 6x6 card I made using a combination of files from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. The pattern files are "Resting my Eyes", "Birthday Monkeys", "Fancy Flourish Collection", and "Lemonade Stand". As usual the pattern paper is Nana's Nursery Girl by DCWV except for the orange polka dots which is "Animal Stackers" by Three bugs in a rug.  All my pieces are inked using TH distress inks and the little green flowers on the corners are from a punch. Sentiment used for the card is from a stamp set by Papertrey ink.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Design Team Monday Challenge

This weeks challenge is a card sketch challenge following the sample below.

For my 6x6 card I used a "Bear in Butterfly" pattern file. The patterned paper is from an old DCWV paper stack. I have a lot of scraps in a container and when I make cards I try my best to use them before cutting up a new sheet of paper.

Don't forget to stop by the DT blog and check out the rest of the teams projects and leave a comment on the blog for a chance to win a free pattern set. Also, participate in the challenge for another chance to win $25.00 in free patterns.

Design Team Monday Challenge

This week's challenge is a card sketch following the example below.

For my card I used one the skunks from the "Cute Lil Stinker" file. For the sentiment I just printed it out using Microsoft word on white card stock. The pattern paper is "Lemon Stack" by DCWV.

Be sure to stop by the DT blog HERE and link your card for this week's challenge for a chance to win free patterns. Also leave a comment on the blog for another chance to win free files as well.

Shabby Birthday Card

From now until January Little Scraps of Heaven Designs DT blog is taking a break from our weekly challenges. The design team still  wants to keep the inspiration going by creating projects for you!

This week I made a birthday card for a friend using the "Birthday Monkey Collection".  The patterned paper is London Market by Prima. As you can see in the picture I left the inside blank for lots of writing space. The letters were cut at approx 31/2 inch and the banners are 1 1/8 (color) and 3/4 (white). I added some ribbon and lace to my card for texture and the monkey is on foam squares for dimension. All my edges are  inked with Th distress inks.  Hopefully the recipient doesn't visit my blog until she receives it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Piglet Birthday Card

My niece's birthday is coming up so I made her a card. I used DCWV patterned paper and glitter paper for the bow. Piglet and the gift are from the "Pooh and Friends" cart and were cut out at 3 inches. The Prima flowers have hologram glitter glue by "the stencil collection".
