"Party Time" Card

Hi! I have a quick card to share using the "Magical Pals" file by LSHD. My niece is having a Minnie Mouse 1st birthday party and thought this card would be awesome. The base card is from a greeting card value pack from Michaels. It measures 6 1/2 x 5. The patterned paper I used, comes from two different packs. Making Memories for red one and I'm not sure on the black PP.

Thanks for looking!

Mother Goose Card

I wanted to share with you a quick card I made using the Mother Goose file by Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. I used a card sketch I found on pinterest for the base of the card. The patterned paper is Nursery Rhymes by Debbie Mumm. I created this for the "Die Cut Bird" Challenge over at Stuckonusketches.blogspot.com

Owl Graduation card

Hello again!

I have been bad the last few weeks on remembering to post my projects, time just seems to get away from me these days.

I made a 6x6 card using  the Grad Owl file from Little Scraps of Heaven Deigns. The file included a tree branch but I decided to leave it out. I can't remember who the pattern paper is by so I apologize. The scallop circle is from the Lots of labels file and the tiny sentiment is from a stamp set Mixed Messages by Papertrey ink. After I finished the card I wish I would have made the scallop circle bigger and used the bigger size of the Mixed Messages. Oh well, next time!

"Love Hot Air Balloon" Shaped Card

I just want to share a card I made for hubby for Valentine's Day using a  pattern file by Little Scraps of Heaven found here. I created a shadow layer of the balloon and welded it together to make the card base. The sentiment on the basket comes with e file, but the sentiment on the big heart I typed up and cut in MTC.

Design Team Monday Challenge

This week's DT challenge is a Card Sketch using the sample below.

For my card, I made a baby card to go with the 8x8 album I'm working on. I used a few different files to make my card, "Goodnight Moon", "Lots of Labels", and "Be my Baby Babies Collection". Patterned paper used is "Nana's Nursery by DCWV and "Baby" by KandCompany. The pieces were all inked using TH Distress inks and for the baby's cheeks I used a chalk pencil by Stabilo and a blending stump. The sentiment was printed out using Word and the green border I used a MS punch.

Design Team Monday Challenge

Welcome back to another Monday challenge. This week's challenge is "I've got the blues". Any project you want to make as long as it has different shades of blue.

I made a scalloped card using a scallop circle from the "lots of labels" file. I welded two scalloped circles together to make the base of the card and  I used the "Moose" file and a tag from the "tags, tags, and more tags" file.

Patterned paper is "Journey" by Authentique.

The sentiment on the tag was printed out using Microsoft word.

I used Halloween double sided patterned paper from last year by Recollections. The monster bride is from the pattern file "Franks Laboratory". I used Tim Holtz Distress inks to ink all my pieces. The sentiment on my card is from the dollar section at Michael's. The card measures 6 x 6.

Cauldron Card

I created a card using the cauldron from the "Double Trouble Witches" pattern set by Little Scraps of Heaven. I made a shadow base of the cauldron then welded it together to form my card base. The broom is also from the same set. For my sentiment, I just typed it in Word and printed it on white card stock. The closed card measures approx. 5 x 51/2 inches.

LSHD DT Challenge

My first Little Scraps of Heaven Designs DT project is a birthday card. The DT challenge is to create a layout or project using "Something Old". At first I struggled trying to figure out what I was gonna make.

So I picked the oldest paper stack I could find. The paper is "Celebrate" by American Traditional Designs. This old pack has die cut shapes and titles which I used on my card as well as the coordinating patterned paper and solid card stock I used for the base. The bear coming out of the present comes from the file "Christmas Bears Pattern Collection". I left out the bow piecing and stars from the present file and added ric rak instead. For the bear I used shimmery cream colored card stock. All the piecings including the balloon and title are inked in TH distress inks.

So start pulling out your old paper and embellishments you've been neglecting and join us in the "Something Old challenge" and post your projects on Little Scraps of Heaven Designs Facebook page. Can't wait to see what you create!!

For my Blog Hop project I chose the "Friends are the best presents" file found here! I knew right away when I saw this file that I had to have it. It reminded me of when I was young, probably around 10 yrs old or so. I loved watching the Raggedy Ann and Andy Movie over and over again. Before I worked on my project I had to look for the movie online! And guess what I found it here!

Because Raggedy Ann and Andy is such a vintage movie to me I decided to make some cards that had some vintage feel to them.

The paper I used is called "SW Glad Tidings" by K&Company. Every piece is inked with Vintage Photo distress ink by Tim Holtz. The tall card is a size "10" card and the other is a 6 1/2 X 5 greeting card. I added some cream lace and stamped a sentiment on one of the cards. The ornaments on the wreath have a touch of stickles on them too!

For my project I made an Easel Drawer Box card. This was my first time making this cute project. I followed a tutorial I found for the Drawer box here and just added an Easel card to the top!

The beautiful little dancer girl on the card is Chasse Candace from the file "So you can Dance girls" found here! She is so adorable! I added some ribbon to her "tutu" to give it a realistic effect. Her hair bun has tiny bling and so do her slippers. Behind the lil girl I added a doily so she wouldn't get lost in the patterned paper. The paper I used for the entire card and box is the "Music" stack by DCWV. Both pink and orange flowers were sprayed with some homemade glimmer mist in silver. Unfortunately it doesn't show up good in the pictures. The other flowers are some pearl flowers from my stash. For the sentiment on the front of the card I used a Making Memories Magnetic stamp set I found at Tuesday Morning. The "Twinkle toes" title also comes with the same file. Under the title I used some light pink ribbon. The handle on the drawer is made with gross grain ribbon secured by white brads. This is perfect for the little dancer in your life and the drawer is perfect for those some gifts like jewelry, gift cards and more!

Tuesday Project time!!
Today I took a Teapot box file from our CK2 store and did something a little different. I made two cards and a 12x12 border strip.

My first card is a Teapot card. I used MTC software to do create a shadow around the pot and then weded the shadows together to get a card base. I removed the window from the original box to have a solid look. I took the flowers, also in the file, and used my stylus to give them some lines and dimension. Some bling in the center and foam to separate the layers.

Next card is a tea cup card. This was simple to make as well. Just took the already included shadow of the tea cup, duplicated it and welded it together for my card base. I added one simple flower and cut out a miscellaneous tag from my MTC gallery.

My border did involve a little work. I took a wavy border from the MTC shape gallery and duplicated it 3 times and then welded it. After it was all welded I sized it to my liking and then lined up the tea cups along the top edge. Once all were aligned, I welded the border with the cups. Last I took the flowers and leaves also from the same pattern, and sized them down and joined them to the border. By joining the two patterns it cuts the flowers/leaves out.

Hope you enjoyed my projects from one file. Please visit CK2 for this file and many more!!
