Altered Wooden Letters

Good morning! Hope everyone in California at least remembered to set their clocks back last night.

I want to share some unfinished wooden letters I got at Michael's that I altered with patterned paper, distress inks and pattern files by Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. The file set is "Zoo Safari" by LSHD and the paper is by different companies. These letters are for my nephews nursery. Unfortunately I did not have time to apply the hangers on the back of each letter, but I figured since my brother-in-law works at a hardware store he could manage the task!

DT Monday Challenge~ "Little Darling"

For this weeks DT challenge we had to follow a card sketch.

I used an older paper stack by DCWV "Nana's Nursery Boy". The sentiment on my card is by Scrappymoms stamp "Special Delivery", and the bunny is from the LSHD pattern file "Snuggle Bunny". I really love the way this card came out.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you join the challenge for a chance to win free patterns!

Baby Shower Invitation and Guest book

I wanted to share with you an Invitation and Guest Book I made for my sisters upcoming baby shower. We are having a Jungle/Safari theme for a baby boy.

The invitation I made in my Print Artist software which is a print creativity software that allows to make a variety of things from letters, cards, digital scrapbook pages and more. The background  is digital paper I purchased online and the animals, vines and grass are the PNG files that are come with Little Scraps of Heaven Designs files. Files used : Zoo Safari, Fancy Flourish.  I was able to print 2 invitations per sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 white card stock. They measured approx. 5 x 7 inches.

I also made a Guest book for the baby shower so that she will have names and addresses to mail thank you cards if she wants too. I also included a section for someone to fill with the names and gifts she receives. For the cover I used the giraffe from "Watch Me Grow" and the oval from "Lots of Labels" and the title was typed up in MTC.

Design Team Monday Challenge

Happy Monday! This week's challenge is "Flowers in Bloom". We were to create a project using lots of flowers.

For my project I chose to alter a frame as a gift for my sister. She is expecting her second child, due this August. I used her sonogram picture for the frame. The blue flowers I made using "My Paper garden vol. 2" from LSHD. The little banner is from the "Banner Collection". I cut the flowers out of white card stock and inked the edges using TH distress inks in broken china. I also added stickles in stardust on the edges of the flowers.

Design Team Monday Challenge

Hello! So sorry this is late. I was out of town over the weekend and simply forgot to post my challenge.

This week's challenge is a layout sketch following the sample below.

For my layout I used a butterfly and title from the "Little Bugaboo" pattern set. I used patterned paper by DCWV, Nana's Nursery. The doilies on the side were white so I colored them using Tattered Angels Glimmer mists in Tutti Frutti. The butterfly measures about 6 1/2 inches tall.
The photos I used are my niece when she was a baby, probably a week or two old.

Design Team Monday Challenge

This week's DT challenge is a sketch layout created by one of our DT members Carmen. Here is an example of the sketch layout. As always use any LSHD paper piece on the layout.

For my challenge project I used the "Hey Diddle Diddle Collection" and the border strip came a paper pack collection "Nursery Rhyme" by Debbie Mumm. The background paper is a different collection which I can't remember the name to. As always, all the paper piecings are inked using TH Distress inks and are cut out using textured card stock by American Crafts this time.

Design Team Monday Challenge

This week's DT challenge is a Card Sketch using the sample below.

Welcome back to another DT Monday. This week's challenge is a Layout Sketch Challenge using the sketch below created by one of our DT members.

I created another 8x8 layout for the baby album I am making. The patterned paper is Baby by K&Company and I used assorted cardstock. Design Team Monday Challenge

Its time for the first DT challenge of the year. This week we had to create a layout similar to the sketch.

I made an 8x8 layout which is going to be the first page to an album I'm making for a friend of mine. The stork with baby is from the "Be My Baby babies collection". For the baby's eyes I wanted them to look like she was sleeping, so I cut them out of skin color and snipped the bottom off.

Be sure to join us this week for the sketch challenge, and post your layout on the LSHD Facebook Fan Page

It's a boy Tri-fold card

This week's Tuesday project is "It's a boy" Tri-fold card. This card was cut using double sided patterned paper . Unfortunately I don't remember who the paper is by.

The bassinet pieces were run thru my sidekick using an embossing folder "spots/dots" by cuttlebug. The ruffles are cut using blue velum and all the pieces are inked using "vintage photo" distress inks.

On the second page I stamped "your invited" using a dollar stamp by Studio G. The blue baby pin is some random embellishment from my stash, but I think you can find these at Michael's.

On the inside of the tri-fold, I cut out some of the words from the patterned paper and matted them. For the invitation info I used stamps again from the dollar section at Michael's.

The envelope also comes with the pattern file. Again I used the same patterned paper to match my card.

Hope you liked this card. Don't forgot to visit CK2 for this card and more fun pattern files!

Baby Shower Gifts

A few altered items from the Michael's unfinished wood section. I used DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Boy paper collection and acylic paint by FolkArt.

The teddy bear's are paper piecing designs by Lil Scrap's of Heaven.

I added a wooden knob from my local hardware store to the lid of the photo cube as a little extra.

The font on the door hanger is by Sizzix sizzlet's "Girls are weird".

On my card I used the Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut cartridge to cut out the baby carriage. I cut it out 3 times on diff paper to create my layers.

I think baby items are one of my favorites to make!!
