The layout I created was so fun to put together! Our requirements for this project were to create a 2 page layout using red, white and blue and also the incorporate the "ring" factor. So why not take advantage of all the great 4th of July sales and be patriotic too! This file "Ring that Register" can be purchased here.

My favorite part to this layout was piecing together the bears! They are sooo stinkin cute! Not only did they go well with this holiday but they are great with any other theme just by changing the paper! They would be adorable on a Birthday, Mother's day, even Christmas card or layout!

I tried to use as many scraps as I could to create this layout. So unfortunately I don't have brand names of paper I used. The 12x12 page is from an old stack and the cover is missing. It might be from DCWV but don't quote me on it!

Hope you enjoyed my layout!

Little Mermaid and Tangled Altered Canvas

I was going thru my pictures and realized I totally forgot to post these. I altered these a couple of months ago for a co-worker. The Little Mermaid was for my co-worker and the Tangled was a special request for her daughter's birthday!

The plain 9x12 canvas I purchased at Michael's. The first one I got with a 40% coupon, but when I went back a couple weeks later to purchase a second canvas, they had the 7pk available and much cheaper than buying one by one!

On both the canvas' I sprayed homemade glimmer mist for the background.

Little Mermaid was made using the Cricut Disney "Dreams Come True" cartridge. The shiny sand on the bottom was made by mixing Liquitex "Natural Sand" texture gel with some acrylic paint. After the sand was dry (approx 24 hrs), I then added the die cuts and other embellishments.

This was my first time altering a canvas and I must say I think it came out pretty awesome!

Tangled was created using an SVG file I got online. Unfortunately I can't remember where I got it from. The castle was from a different svg file and the leaves at the top right corner are from a sizzix sizzlit die "branch w/leaves".  For this background I used some shimmer sprays by Lindy's stamp gang. Not sure where I got the grass from. Its been a while since I made this, so sorry. That's what happens when I forget to post my projects right away!

Hope you enjoyed looking and thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Boy Frame

This cute little frame I made for my co-worker to put her grandson's 1st birthday picture in. I purchased the $1 frames at Michael's Arts and crafts. I love these frames. They are perfect for altering!  First I painted the frame with FolkArt acrylic paint in Country Twill. The patterned paper is from the DCWV "Linen Closet" stack. Then I inked the egdes of the frame with TH Vintage photo ink. I used the Birthday Baby Boy file from Treasure Box Designs. Instead of adding both boys in the file I only used the one sitting down. He also is holding a candle so I omitted it and used the number 1 from my fonts instead. Everything is accented with a white gel pen. This file was perfect for the occasion.
