Altered Wooden Letters

Good morning! Hope everyone in California at least remembered to set their clocks back last night.

I want to share some unfinished wooden letters I got at Michael's that I altered with patterned paper, distress inks and pattern files by Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. The file set is "Zoo Safari" by LSHD and the paper is by different companies. These letters are for my nephews nursery. Unfortunately I did not have time to apply the hangers on the back of each letter, but I figured since my brother-in-law works at a hardware store he could manage the task! 

Design Team Monday - Creepy Crawlers

This weeks challenge is "Jeepers Creepers", create a project following the theme. So I made a single page layout using the "Caught in a Web" and "Halloween Mats" file by LSHD. The title I created in MTC, and the patterned paper is by KandCompany.

I used the werewolf file from "Creatures of the Night". The title was cut out in MTC.

Design Team Monday Challenge- Hello Pumkpin

This weeks challenge is the "Great Pumpkin Challenge"- Create a project using pumpkins. I decided to made a shaped card using the mouse from the "Field Mouse Halloween Party". I made a shadow and a blackout of the mouse in pumpkin and welded together the shadow to make my card base. The blackout was used to create the inside for writing and the sentiment on the outside was done with my own handwriting. 

DT Monday Challenge- Watch Me Grow

This weeks DT challenge is a Layout Sketch Challenge using the sample below. 

I used the "Watch Me Grow" file by Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. The patterned papers are by the Paper Studio. 

DT Monday Challenge~ "Little Darling"

For this weeks DT challenge we had to follow a card sketch. 

I used an older paper stack by DCWV "Nana's Nursery Boy". The sentiment on my card is by Scrappymoms stamp "Special Delivery", and the bunny is from the LSHD pattern file "Snuggle Bunny". I really love the way this card came out.

Design Team Monday Challenge "Lil Stinker"

This weeks challenge was to follow the sketch layout below.

For my layout I picked one the skunks from the "Cute Lil Stinker" file. The pattern paper is "Lemon Flower Stack by DCWV. Because the title was a little long I omitted the word "cute".

Design Team Monday Challenge- "A Pirate's Life for Me"

Welcome Back to another DT Monday challenge. This week is "Teddy Bear Challenge" We had to create a project using a teddy bear them. So I decided to use some older files from 2010 called "Pirate Bears Collection" and "A Pirates life". I LOVE Pirates!!!! 

The pattern paper is from three different DCWV stacks: The Boyhood stack, All About Boys stack and an old Photo stack. For the pocket on the page, I used the "Mouse in Crayon Box Envelope" without the mouse of course. The title I created in MTC and did a double shadow to really make it pop!  I have been wanting to work on a Pirate layout and finally got the chance too! Hope you like it!

Design Team Monday

Ooops....Yes I know its Wednesday but the holiday just got the best of me time wise! 

Welcome back to our design team Monday challenges. This week at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs, the DT created layouts for the Scraplift Challenge using our favorite past sketch. 

For my layout I used the lighthouse and palm tree from the "At the Beach" file. The patterned paper is Nautical Sailing, Ocean Breeze by Best Creation Inc and the title is made from chipboard letters.

Ride the Wave Layout

Just sharing a 2pg layout I made using "Fun in the Sun" file by Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. The title and waves are a free file I downloaded in MTC gallery. The monkey on the surf board I created by taking the monkey on the right and changing some of the pieces. Patterned paper is an old "Summer Stack" by DCWV. I cut out embellishments from the patterned paper and used foam tape to adhere them.

"Party Time" Card

Hi! I have a quick card to share using the "Magical Pals" file by LSHD. My niece is having a Minnie Mouse 1st birthday party and thought this card would be awesome. The base card is from a greeting card value pack from Michaels. It measures 6 1/2 x 5. The patterned paper I used, comes from two different packs. Making Memories for red one and I'm not sure on the black PP.

"Winter Fun" layout

I created a 2 page layout for this week's DT blog project. I used the following three files: "Lots of Labels", "Winter Fun", and "NPP Snowball fight" by Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.

Patterned paper is "Let it Snow", Winter land Collection by "Moxie". I really love the color combo on these papers!

Scalloped Reindeer Card

This week Little Scraps of Heaven Designs is having Christmas in July! All the DT members created Christmas cards for the week along with recipes so you can create them as well. Here is the card I made and my recipe!

RECIPE:

File used- Christmas 3D Accents

Paper- Recollections Xmas paper and asst card stock

Red Gross grain ribbon

White gel pen

Blue and Black chalk pencil

Black Fine Sharpie pen 

Make a shadow layer of the scallop shape and weld together the two shadow scallops with a small rectangle (not part of file) to make the base of your card. Cut the base card in desired color card stock. Then cut the other scallop and big circle in card stock and smaller circle in patterned paper.

Shadow scallop (aqua) measures approx. 5 1/4 in.

Red scallop approx. 5 1/8 in.

White circle 4 5/8 in. 

Patterned paper circle 4 3/8 in.

For the reindeer I just assembled him on my virtual mat and adjusted size accordingly. 

I did not add a sentiment to my card, just ribbon to dress him up! The inside of the card has a layer of red scallop and white circle for writing.

Moose-t-be Santa Layout

For this weeks LSHD DT blog project I made a single page Christmas layout using three different files: "Moose-t-be Santa", Advent Calendar", and  "Santa's Boots". Patterned paper is Michaels Recollection paper- "Naughty or Nice". 

Country Christmas Layout

I made a 2 page layout using the LSHD file "Country Christmas". The paper I used is Susan Wright "Glad Tidings" by Kand Company. I added embellishments from the collection as well as ribbon.
