Today's feature is the most lovely "Dottie Duck Box" . I took this single file pattern and used it three different ways.
Fully scaled on a 12x12 virtual mat, Dottie is a beautiful box that measures approx. 5 1/4 inches tall by 1 1/2 inches wide. These measurements are for the box itself not including Dottie herself. This makes a perfect Easter treat box filled with candy, cookies or any small gift for that special child or adult!
Dottie's body parts are from solid colored card stock and inked using Tim Holtz Distress inks. Her bow is from DCWV- "Sorbet" stack, also inked with distress inks. I also added some fun feathers from a variety pack I got at Michael's.
Here is a side profile of Dottie Duck!
Next I took the same file and made a card base using the main body and welding it together. Once the card is folded closed it measures approx. 4 1/4 inches by 4 inches. Again I inked her up using distress inks an added feathers too!
Last but not least, is this cute mini bag. I scaled the bag down to approx. 8 inches on the virtual mat and cut it out using "Clear Craft Plastic" by Graphix. I used Scor tape to adhere the bag together. I also used the same pattern paper by DCWV to make a lil handle, trim and flower. The cute little flower on the left corner is a flower file that comes from the "Creative Kuts" store found here. The assembled bag measures approx. 3 1/2 inches tall by 1 inch wide without the handle. This cute little mini bag makes a perfect favor to fit any occasion. Your creativity is endless!
Clear bag side profile!
